Specimen Guarantee

In this Guarantee, YONICO is referred to as "The Company" and the person/company that placed the order and is the holder of this guarantee is referred to as "The Customer".

uPVC, aluminium, steel Crittal, softwood & hardwood windows, doors, porches, sash/heritage windows, folding concertina doors and roofs/conservatories have a manufacturers guarantee against failure in welded/mechanical joints, distortment, discolouration [uPVC], welded/mechanical joints, powder coat blemishes [aluminium], welded/mechanical joints, rolled steel irregularities, powder coat blemishes [steel Crittal] and joints, diseased wood, timber from illegal forestation logging [softwood & hardwood] in accordance with system suppliers recommendations for a period of 10 years [uPVC], 10 years [aluminium], 10 years [steel Crittal], 5 years [softwood] & 10 years [hardwood] from the above commencement date.
Installation & workmanship against leaks or cold is covered by a 10 year guarantee from the above commencement date and any claim is subject to an inspection by The Company representative.

All our Everwhite uPVC roofline flat trims, reveal liners, soffits, fascias and cladding are guaranteed for up to 21 years [white profiles], 10 years [woodgrains] & 10 years [colour profiles] against discolouration, warping, surface irregularities and cracking. Installation & workmanship is covered by a 10 year guarantee from the above commencement date and any claim is subject to an inspection by The Company representative.

Roofing repairs [tiles, slates & felt] and installations are covered against leaks during normal weather conditions for a period of 5 years. There is no guarantee against leaks or damage due to heavy weather conditions, incl. heavy wind, heavy rain, penetrating hail, heavy snow loads, lightning, fallen trees, fallen power/phone lines, or other acts of god etc.
All Rubberbond EPDM flat roofs have a 25 year guarantee and a 40 year proven life expectancy against tearing, splitting and cracking [without interaction by The Customer]. Rubberbond is resistant to UV OZONE anomalies and extremes of climate. Any failure in the membranes performance is subject to an inspection by The Company representative & suppliers recommendations.

Glass sealed units manufactured by The Company are guaranteed for a period of up to 15 years. Glass sealed units manufactured by our suppliers are guaranteed for a period of up to 10 years [dependant on sealed unit fabricator] after the commencement date above for the failure of hermetical seals (i.e. misting between panes).

‘Hepworth' Conservatory under-floor heating (Hep2O) pipes are guaranteed for up to 50 years. All other conservatory under-floor heating pipes are guaranteed for up to 20 years.

This guarantee does not cover for breakages of glass after the installation is complete.

All locking mechanisms, hinges, and all metallic moving parts are guaranteed for 12 months subject to regular maintenance by The Customer. Cosmetic deterioration to handles, letter plates and door handles etc. due to general wear & tear are not covered by this guarantee.

All building work of any description [brickwork, blockwork, driveways, patios, decking, extensions or conversions] will be guaranteed for a period of 10 years from the commencement date in respect of workmanship. All concrete used is subject to supplier's recommendations and is not guaranteed against abnormal climate changes which may cause the structure of materials used to breakdown in some way. Any claim by The Customer against this guarantee will be subject to an inspection by The Company representative and will not cover against any alterations made by others, water damage, damage by other means or failure of materials. The Company reserves the right to charge labour costs on any replacement or repair works.

Conservatory roofing sheets of any description are not guaranteed against abnormal climate changes which may cause the structure of materials used to breakdown in some way. This guarantee does not cover against penetration of insects, misting and mould growth between the chambers of the sheets. Any external conservatory trims & fascias are covered for 12 months under normal climate conditions.

Commercial and industrial installations & workmanship is guaranteed for up to 10 years from the above commencement date and any claim is subject to an inspection by The Company representative.

Any minor imperfection of PVCu, aluminium or glass is subject to supplier's recommendations, details of which are available upon request. Stained glass and lead work are not guaranteed against fading or discolouring.

uPVC products (i.e. panels) used in any installation are the closest colour match available from our supplier's at the present time (i.e. it will not always be possible to have a perfect colour match). Door panels are guaranteed for a period of 12 months against warping and twisting.
All aluminium products used in any installation are subject to the ‘RAL' colour code to denote the colour and any differences are subject to supplier's recommendation.

Advice should be sought before attempting to attach fixtures and fittings to, or around products supplied.

All guarantees are given in good faith. However, if it is deemed, after a visit from The Company representative, that any of our products have been misused, tampered with or damaged in any way etc., we will render this guarantee null & void, leaving any remedial work to be carried out at a pre-arranged fee, which shall be payable before any work commences.

Any failure of materials under the terms of this guarantee will be subject to our supplier's recommendation and will be repaired or replaced at the manufacturer's sole discretion.
All prospective materials that need replacement or repair pending the manufacturers decision, are supplied free of charge within the guarantee period, subject to an inspection by The Company representative. The Company reserves the right to charge labour costs for any replacement or repair works.

This guarantee is non-transferable. All goods remain the property of The Company until the full contract price has been received in full, and has cleared banking process.
